New Delhi, January 16 (IANS). There is Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi for the last 10 years. BJP has been dreaming of coming to power for years but its dream has not been fulfilled for the last several decades. BJP had to be satisfied with three seats in 2015 and 8 seats in 2020. But, this time BJP is in the field with full enthusiasm. BJP claims that it will capture power in Delhi and the next government will be formed by BJP. Amidst these claims of BJP, today we will talk about that assembly seat where BJP once had dominance.
Krishna Nagar assembly seat which was once a stronghold of BJP. BJP candidates used to stay safe in this fort. Former Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan won the assembly elections from here five times. But, in 2015, Aam Aadmi Party breached this fort of BJP.
Aam Aadmi Party candidate SK Bagga won here. Aam Aadmi Party candidate got 65919 votes. Whereas, BJP candidate former IPS officer Kiran Bedi got 63,642 votes. There was a tough competition between the two. But, you won. The Congress candidate stood third.
The winning streak of Aam Aadmi Party continued in 2020 also. SK Bagga got 72,111 votes in this election. BJP candidate Anil Goyal got 68,116 votes. This time too there was a close contest between the candidates of both the parties. Ashok Walia of Congress was at third place.
In this election, BJP has again expressed confidence in Anil Goyal and made him its candidate. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party has made Vikas Bagga its candidate. Gurutaran Singh Raju has been made the candidate from Congress.
People in other colonies including Rani Garden Extension, Geeta Colony, Shastri Nagar, Jagat Puri, Anarkali Garden, Jitar Nagar, Gopal Park under Krishna Nagar assembly are facing problems like drinking water, broken roads, sewer problems, stray animals, heaps of garbage and other problems. Are worried.
People are yearning for drinking water in the slums of Geeta Colonies. Here people have to spend money to buy drinking water.
According to an estimate, the caste equation in Krishna Nagar Assembly is mixed. Muslim voters here are 14.8. Apart from this, there are voters from other castes including Sharma, Gupta, Singh. All these voters are going to play an important role in this election.
Total voters in Krishna Nagar are 2,21,909. In this, male voters are 1,15, 221 and 106684 female voters. There are four third gender voters.
Voting for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 will be held in a single phase on February 5. According to the Election Commission, a total of 1.55 crore voters including 83,49,645 men, 71,73,952 women and 1,261 third gender voters will exercise their franchise. The result will be announced on 8 February. With the announcement of the election date, the election ‘Model Code of Conduct’ has come into force in Delhi, under which government resources cannot be used for election campaigning and police permission is mandatory for election rallies.
