AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal claimed on Wednesday that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi can be arrested by central investigating agencies in a ‘fake’ case at the behest of BJP.
Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal said, “We have learned from our sources that a meeting was held and the BJP has ordered the investigating agencies to arrest CM Atishi in a fake case.”
He alleged that BJP is trying to distract AAP from the assembly election campaign.
“We have learned that they are preparing a fake case against Atishi in the transport department and they want to stop the scheme of free bus travel for women,” the AAP chief said.
Kejriwal, who is out on bail in a case related to the excise policy scam, said, “As long as I am alive, I will not let the scheme of free bus travel for women be stopped.”
The former Delhi Chief Minister, in a post on X, also alleged that the BJP is scared of AAP’s Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.
His remarks came at a time when the Women and Child Development and Health departments of the Delhi government issued a public notice on Wednesday distancing themselves from the ruling AAP’s schemes to provide Rs 2,100 to women and free treatment to the elderly. This has given rise to a new controversy before the assembly elections.
Both departments also cautioned people against providing personal details to anyone under the pretext of registering for “non-existent” schemes, saying any private individual or political party collecting such physical forms or information would be “fraudulent and without any authority.” “K”.
AAP leaders under the leadership of Kejriwal recently started the process of registration of people for both the schemes with great enthusiasm.
Atishi said in the press conference that strict action will be taken against the officials of the Women and Child Development Department who issued public notice against the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana.
