Chief Minister and AAP candidate from Kalkaji, Atishi, on Sunday launched a crowdfunding campaign to contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections and said she hoped people would support her party’s politics of work and honesty.
Addressing a press conference, Atishi released an online link asking people to donate money and said he needed Rs 40 lakh to contest the elections.
He said that AAP has always contested elections with the help of small donations received from the common man, which has helped it do politics of work and honesty.
In December, senior AAP leader and party candidate from Jangpura Manish Sisodia launched a crowdfunding platform and sought financial assistance from people for his election campaign.
Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8.
