Based on his complaint, the Governor had ordered an investigation by the Vigilance Department. The Vigilance Department has handed over the investigation to the Principal Secretary of PWD (Public Works Department). An investigation report has been sought from him within five days.
What rules have been violated?
BJP leader Vijender Gupta said that there is a huge discrepancy between the list of furniture and other items provided by the PWD department for the year 2022 for the Chief Minister’s residence and the list received when Kejriwal left the residence. He said who has the facilities available in the Chief Minister’s residence? Has it benefited anyone in return? How much amount was spent from government funds? What rules have been violated?
At the same time, the PWD department has said that it has not installed any material in the Chief Minister’s residence after the year 2022. Expensive items of comfort have been found in the Chief Minister’s residence, expensive commode, wash basin, sofa, curtains, television and refrigerator etc. in the toilet, which were not installed by PWD.
