Delhi election 2025: In the initial trends of Delhi assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a huge lead, while the Aam Aadmi Party seems to be lagging behind. After the initial trends, AAP’s farewell has been decided by the power of Delhi. Even before the announcement of the final results, there has also been a fierce fighting in the alliance of opposition parties in India.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah expressed his displeasure over the absence of an alliance in the Delhi assembly elections. He said that fight a lot among themselves, finish each other. Through this, he has tried to surround the Congress. Omar Abdullah has previously raised questions about the role of Congress in India alliance. Recently, he had said that the Congress did not play its role to keep the coalition strong.
Omar Abdullah expressed resentment
In the Delhi assembly elections, the AAP and the Congress could not be formed and the two parties left no stone unturned to challenge each other. Omar Abdullah has expressed displeasure over this. He has shared a meme in which a monk says that fight a lot among themselves, finish each other.
Omar Abdullah believes that due to lack of alliance between AAP and Congress, such a result of Delhi elections is coming out and BJP is emerging as strong. He said that if the election had been fought with solidarity, the BJP could have been challenged in Delhi. Prior to Omar Abdullah, some other opposition leaders also questioned the lack of alliance in the Delhi elections.
Congress responded to Omar Abdullah
The Congress’s response to the statement made by Omar Abdullah has also come to light. Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said that they should keep saying what Omar Abdullah has to say, but they should also understand that the Congress will not stop contesting elections. He said that it is our right to contest elections and everyone should contest elections in democracy.
By the way, it is also noteworthy that before the assembly elections in Delhi, an alliance was discussed between AAP and Congress. However, it could not be landed on the ground. Later, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal announced his party to contest elections alone.
BJP’s drought is going to end in Delhi
During the Lok Sabha elections, there was an alliance between AAP and Congress in Delhi and Haryana, but in the Haryana assembly elections, there was no alliance between the two parties. There was also a discussion on seat sharing between the two parties but later the conversation was broken.
The BJP had also won in the Haryana assembly elections and now the party has taken a huge lead in the Delhi assembly elections. Given the trends of Delhi, experts believe that BJP’s drought in Delhi is about to end after 27 years.
