New Delhi, January 16 (IANS). Congress on Thursday released another list of its candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. Congress has announced the names of two candidates in this list. The party has fielded Lokendra Chaudhary from Timarpur and Suresh Wati Chauhan from Rohtas Nagar.
Along with this list, Congress has announced the names of its candidates for all the 70 assembly seats of Delhi.
At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced the names of all its 70 candidates, while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has so far fielded 59 candidates.
Earlier on Wednesday, Congress had released its fourth list. In which the party had announced the names of its five candidates. Congress has given ticket to Surendra Kumar from Bawana (SC), Somesh Gupta from Rohini.
At the same time, Congress has nominated Rahul Dhanak from Karolbagh (SC), Virendra Bidhuri from Tughlakabad and Arjun Bhadana from Badarpur.
Voting for Delhi Assembly elections is to be held in a single phase on February 5 for all 70 seats, while the results of the elections will be announced on February 8. According to the Election Commission, a total of 1.55 crore voters, including 83,49,645 men, 71,73,952 women and 1,261 third gender voters, will exercise their franchise in the capital Delhi.
If we talk about the 2020 assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had won 62 out of 70 seats. BJP had won eight seats.
