Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday made a big promise regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi. He said that if his party comes to power again, all sewer-related problems in Delhi will be resolved on priority basis. Along with this, he also mentioned the development works done in the unauthorized colonies of Delhi in the last few years.
Kejriwal told in the video message that when his government was formed, no development work was done in the unauthorized colonies of Delhi. But, the ‘AAP’ government started work to improve the basic facilities in these areas. “Today, sewer pipelines and other facilities are available in almost all unauthorized colonies, which were not there at all earlier,” he said.
However, Kejriwal also admitted that there is still a problem of drinking water contamination by sewage in some areas of Delhi. On this issue, he said, “I have decided that if we come to power again, the sewer-related problems in the city will be solved on a war footing.” This could be a positive step for Delhiites, as the sewage problem has been a cause of water pollution and cleanliness problems in Delhi for a long time. Kejriwal also said that his party will come up with concrete plans to resolve the issue.
This statement of Kejriwal has come just before the elections of 70 member Delhi Assembly. The elections will be held on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8. In such a situation, this promise of Kejriwal can become a major election issue for his party.
Arvind Kejriwal also said in this video message that ‘AAP’ party has always given priority to the problems of the citizens of Delhi and this time too the sewer problem will be solved first. If the party comes to power, it can prove to be a big step, which will help in improving the standard of living of Delhiites.
