Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anurag Thakur on Monday issued a ‘charge sheet’ against Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accusing the former Delhi Chief Minister of making the capital a “laboratory of corruption through scams”. Is charged.
There has been no immediate reaction from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on these allegations of BJP. Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Delhi unit of the BJP had formed a ‘charge sheet committee’ which has issued a detailed report listing the alleged failures of the ruling AAP MLAs.
Thakur alleged, “What kind of party is this which came to power promising a corruption-free government but was involved in eight to nine scams related to liquor policy, Delhi Jal Board, DTC and Waqf Board.” He raised the slogan, ”Scam after scam, Kejriwal has made Delhi a laboratory of corruption.” He said that BJP will remove AAP from power in Delhi.
The former Union minister also targeted AAP and Kejriwal over education and health in Delhi and alleged that the party failed to open new mohalla clinics and hospitals and did not utilize Central funds to enhance the health infrastructure of the city.
Thakur alleged that the ‘smog tower’ installed in Connaught Place to provide relief from air pollution was lying useless, but the AAP government spent crores of rupees on advertisements. He mentioned water shortage, lack of cleanliness, bad roads and some other issues in Delhi to corner the ruling AAP.
Thakur also alleged that AAP was supporting ‘anti-national’ forces and Kejriwal had raised questions on the ‘surgical strike’ carried out by India. He said that AAP had got the support of Khalistani elements in the Punjab elections.
