The Congress on Thursday said that if it comes to power in Delhi, it will provide LPG (domestic cooking gas) cylinders for Rs 500, free ration kits and free electricity up to 300 units to the residents of the national capital.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made the announcement while addressing a press conference along with All India Congress Committee (AICC) Delhi in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin and Congress’ Delhi unit chief Devendra Yadav.
Reddy said, “If Congress comes to power in Delhi, it will fulfill its five guarantees.”
Congress had announced its ‘Pyaari Didi Scheme’ on January 6, promising to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500 to the women of Delhi if voted to power.
The party announced its ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ on January 8, under which it promised free health insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh.
The party on Sunday also promised to give Rs 8,500 every month for a year to educated unemployed youth in Delhi. Voting for the 70-member Assembly in Delhi will be held on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8.
