Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, on the eve of the 76th Republic Day, remembered the sacrifice of freedom fighters, wishing people and said that his government is committed to realize his (freedom fighters) dreams for the country.
Speaking at the Republic Day celebrations at Chhatrasal Stadium, Atishi urged people to remember the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country. He said, “Freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Lala Lajpat Rai and Chandrashekhar Azad thought about themselves, not about themselves.”
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader highlighted the role of the Constitution prepared under the leadership of BR Ambedkar in ensuring the transformative journey of India and equal rights for all citizens.
He said, “It is our responsibility to fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters and Babasaheb. Our Constitution is based on the concept of equal opportunities and the Delhi government is making tireless efforts to realize it. ”
Atishi referred to the works of the Government of Delhi in major sectors, especially education and healthcare. He said, “There was a time when the condition of government schools in Delhi was very bad. The children of poor families could not get quality education, due to which the poor never recovered. Today, I am proud to say that the government schools in Delhi have changed the lives of these families by providing quality education.
He said, “Delhi is the only state that provides free healthcare and 24 -hour power. These are steps towards fulfilling the dreams of those who fought for our freedom. ”
Atishi reiterated the commitment of the Delhi government for the creation of the dream society of freedom fighters where every citizen is empowered and he gets equal opportunities.
