New Delhi, January 6 (IANS). Delhi government has also issued an alert regarding HMPV virus and given guidelines to the concerned department. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has instructed the Health and FE Department to make complete arrangements in Delhi.
Saurabh Bhardwaj has said that as per the advice of the Union Health Ministry, all hospitals should be fully prepared to deal with any possible increase in the respiratory disease. The Department of Health and Family Welfare should remain in touch with the Union Health Ministry to get timely updates about the preparedness in the capital.
Issuing directions to the Health Department, he said that there is no need to delay the action, if instructions are required then immediately call and bring the problems to me and the Health Secretary will inspect three hospitals daily and submit the report to the Ministry.
He said the Health Secretary will daily report on EDL list, availability of medicine and ICU beds, status of equipment and PSA plants, availability of data entry operators.
In the letter issued in his department, Saurabh Bhardwaj has written that it is directed that the Department of Health and Family Welfare should keep a careful eye on any such trend in the country. The Department of Health and Family Welfare should remain in touch with the Union Health Ministry to get timely updates about the preparedness in the capital. It is important that government hospitals in NCT of Delhi should be well equipped to deal with any possible surge in the respiratory disease as advised by the Union Health Ministry.
He further wrote that if there is any important matter which requires a decision from his side, it can be brought to my notice by calling immediately.
