Delhi new CM: The BJP has won the Delhi assembly elections by a bumper majority. Now after 27 years, once again BJP will have power in Delhi. But who will be the head of this power i.e. the Chief Minister. Everyone’s eyes are on this. There are four main faces in the Delhi Chief Minister’s race. Former BJP President and MP of Delhi Manoj Tiwari is followed by Pravesh Singh Sahib Verma, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and former BJP Delhi President Satish Upadhyay. Manoj Tiwari: Currently Manoj Tiwari is a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket MP. Tiwari was mainly artist before joining politics. He is now an actor, musician, director as well as a skilled politician. He started his political career in 2009. He contested from Gorpur against BJP leader and current UP CM Yogi Aadityanath from Samajwadi Party ticket in the 14th Lok Sabha elections. In which he had to face defeat. He then actively participated in the anti -corruption campaign launched by Hannah Hazare.
A little before the 15th Lok Sabha elections, Manoj Tiwari joined BJP. After this, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency on BJP ticket and became MP from here. He has been active in BJP for more than two decades. He is a consecutive MP for three times. He has also taken command of Delhi BJP state president. Manoj Tiwari is quite popular in Purvanchal, the number of Purvanchals in Delhi is more. Being a favorite face, he is in CM’s race.
Pravesh Verma: Pravesh Verma’s family background is already political. Pravesh Verma is 48 years old. He was born on 7 November 1977 in a Jat family in Delhi. Pravesh Verma’s early education to higher education is from Delhi. Pravesh Verma was a member of the Delhi BJP Election Committee in the 2013 assembly elections. In this election, BJP also nominated its candidate for Mehrauli assembly seat.
Pravesh Verma is also an MP from West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency on a BJP ticket. He became an MP twice from here. In 2014, he was elected MP for the 16th Lok Sabha. After this, in 2019, he once again became an MP for the 17th Lok Sabha. But this victory created history. Verma was elected MPs by a margin of 578 486 votes by the biggest margin in the history of Delhi.
Defeated Kejriwal, a three -time CM of Delhi
In the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, Pravesh Verma contested against the head of the Aam Aadmi Party and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Pravesh defeated Kejriwal on this seat by more than 5 thousand votes. Pravesh Verma received a total of 30 088 votes. Kejriwal got 25999 votes. Sandeep Dixit of Congress got only 4,568 votes. Kejriwal, who was the Chief Minister of Delhi three times, has been defeated by Pravesh Verma.
BJP’s return to Delhi after 27 years
Virendra Sachdeva: Virendra Sachdeva is the BJP president of Delhi. He was permanently appointed as permanent president of Delhi BJP in May 2023. Earlier, he was working here as the Executive Chairman. Under his leadership, the BJP came in majority after 27 years. BJP won 48 seats in 70 seats. At the same time, BJP won all the 7 seats in Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections. Sachdeva’s stature has increased in the skilled leadership party. Because of this, they are also in CM’s race.
Satish Upadhyay joins RRS
Satish Upadhyay: Satish Upadhyay has been the former state president of Delhi BJP, before which he was a councilor from ward number 161 of Malviya Nagar. He is currently working as the Vice President of New Delhi Municipal Council. In 2014, he was appointed as the President of Delhi BJP in Lok Sabha elected. He has been active in ASS and ABVP since 1980. Also Upadhyay was a member of the Delhi Censor Board of Film Certification and TAC.
