Delhi Police issues traffic advisory, traffic will be disrupted for five days due to Republic Day Parade rehearsal

New Delhi, January 16 (IANS). Rehearsals on the duty path ahead of the Republic Day parade in Delhi are starting from January 17. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory so that the common people do not face any problem during this period.

Under this arrangement, restrictions and changes have been made on some routes for traffic so that there is no problem during the rehearsal and people do not have to face trouble.

In the advisory issued by Delhi Police, it has been said that during the rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade, special traffic arrangements will be in force on January 17, 18, 20 and 21.

Traffic will remain closed from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm at Dutvapath-Rafi Marg crossing, Dutvapath-Janpath crossing, Dutvapath-Mansingh Road crossing and Dutvapath-C-Hexagon.

People going from North Delhi to South Delhi can go via Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, IP Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Ring Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Kautilya Marg.

People traveling from east to south-west Delhi can use the Vande Mataram route from Ring Road.

According to the advisory, motorists coming to Vinay Marg, Shanti Path or going to New Delhi and beyond should take the route to North Delhi or via Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, RML Roundabout, Baba Kharak Singh Marg or Park Street-Mandir Marg. Will have to go towards New Delhi.

Delhi Police has requested citizens to follow these routes and plan their travel keeping in mind the traffic restrictions.
