Delhi Politics : Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday sent the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the President. Along with this, the date for the swearing-in of the new Chief Minister has been proposed on September 21. Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister on Tuesday (September 17, 2024). Along with this, AAP leader Atishi had staked claim to form a new government, although she did not ask for any date for swearing-in.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi will become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi, although she is the first woman leader of the party to hold this post. Many ministers are also likely to take oath along with her in the swearing-in ceremony proposed on September 21. Many leaders including Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, MP Sanjay Singh will attend the swearing-in ceremony.
He is set to become a minister
The list of leaders who will be included in the cabinet of the new government is being prepared. If sources are to be believed, only those ministers who were in the Kejriwal government will get a place in the new cabinet. It is almost certain that Kailash Gehlot, Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Imran Hussain will become cabinet ministers again. Along with this, new leaders will be included to fill the vacant posts. Constitutionally, seven cabinet ministers can be made in Delhi, thus two more MLAs are sure to become ministers.
The party is working on a new strategy
If sources are to be believed, Aam Aadmi Party is working on a new strategy in view of the Haryana elections and the upcoming elections in Delhi. It is being said that such leaders can get a place in the cabinet, whose influence can be seen in Haryana as well. However, it cannot be said right now who will be included in the cabinet.
