After the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Delhi Assembly elections, discussions are going on about the site for the swearing -in ceremony of the new cabinet. The results of the assembly elections were announced on 8 February.
Police sources said that Ramlila Maidan is one of the possible sites that are being considered.
According to sources, a team of senior police officers visited the site to take stock of the arrangements there.
Sources said that other places under consideration include Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the location of the Yamuna River.
In the elections held on February 5 in Delhi, BJP won 48 out of 70 assembly seats while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 22 seats.
