Despite Mayawati's 'misconduct, corruption and greed', BSP's 'political power continues': Udit Raj

Former Lok Sabha MP Udit Raj has targeted Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati and said that despite her “misconduct, corruption and greed”, his party’s “political strength remained long”. He also said that “The Muslim community is going through the same era today when Dalits were in a bad situation at one time.”

Raj told reporters in Lucknow on Monday, “After the 1980s, Kanshi Ram started Bahujan Jagran in Uttar Pradesh, which reached its peak in the 2000s. Even though this movement ended in politics. , But its thinking and base have been social justice.

Attacking Mayawati, he said, “Despite Ms. Mayawati’s cruelty and disability, the workers and voters continued to struggle. The workers’ houses were sold, their children could not get education and they were treated brutally, yet they were Bahujan Raj Millions of workers who believe in Phule, Shahu, Ambedkar are going through disappointment.

The former Lok Sabha MP from North West Delhi also said, “Just as the condition of Dalits was ever bad, the Muslim community is going through the same period today. The Muslim community cannot fight this situation alone. Dalits are also not able to fight alone. Whenever the Muslim community raises its problem, its result turns into communalism. “

He said that on December 1, 2024, the first rally of Doma Parishad took place at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, raising the demand to save the Waqf Board.

It is worth noting that the former Lok Sabha MP is currently headed by Dalit, OBC, minority and tribal (Doma) Confederation.

He called upon the Ambedkarites to unite, saying, “The so -called Ambedkarite could not break the caste system, at least stop casteism and caste organization. Has criticizes the upper castes to change themselves.

He said, “Lord Gautama Buddha had said – Atta Deepo Bhava. It means change your thinking. Dalits and backward classes want the upper castes to change themselves, but they keep casteism among themselves.”

Commenting on Bahujans’ organizations, he said, “The organizations of Bahujans have been formed till now on the basis of individual and caste. The population is 85 percent, but is the organization share in the organization from top to bottom? Those who run their caste and their friends in important positions and say that they are welfare of Bahujans. “

He said, “Four people at every level in the organizational structure of the Doma Confederation – one Dalit, one OBC, one Muslim and a tribal – will be mandatory. Bahujan is not just by name, but will also have to be shown from work.”

The former Lok Sabha MP further said that it has been decided to organize six conferences in Jhansi, Banda, Shravasti, Kanpur, Meerut and Azamgarh in the coming days.

Udit Raj was a Lok Sabha MP between 2014 and 2019, he represented North West Delhi as a member of the BJP, but left the party after his first term.
