Deve Gowda condemns allegations of corruption against Kumaraswamy, supported Prime Minister

Janata Dal (Secular) chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda dismissed the allegations of corruption against his son and Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

On the occasion of the Janata Dal (S) statewide visit and ‘Missed Call’ membership campaign, the former Prime Minister said, ‘Some people are planning falsely against Kumaraswamy in a planned manner. No one has been successful in these maligning campaigns and no one will be there.

He said, ‘Some people cannot tolerate Kumaraswamy at all. They are unable to digest their personality and the love they get from the public. No one else in the country forgave the debt of farmers as they did.

Reacting to the speculation of the Janata Dal (S) after their breakdown, the senior leader said, ‘Never forget that failure is the foundation of success. Just because we lost the election, it does not mean that we will lose courage. ‘

He said, ‘Due to my age, I am only in trouble, the mind is still completely agile and memory is also fine. Those who think the opposite, listen to it carefully. ‘

He said that Morarji Desai had handed over this party to him, and no matter how much it breaks in the Janata Dal, this party has been maintained till now and will remain after them.

Deve Gowda also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and described him as a ‘leader of high stature’ and ‘global person’.

The former Prime Minister said, ‘We tied up with BJP because of Modi ji. We shook hands with the Prime Minister and gained his confidence. I had not recommended him to make Kumaraswamy a minister. It was Modi himself who included him in the cabinet and handed over important ministries.
