Dharmendra Lodhi raised questions on Rahul Gandhi's meeting with Ilhan Omar in America

Bhopal, September 11 (IANS) Dharmendra Lodhi, a cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, raised questions on Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with Ilhan Omar during his US visit. He said that Rahul Gandhi is meeting pro-ISI leaders like Ilhan Omar in the US, which has to be taken seriously. This is a big question in itself that how is Rahul Gandhi meeting people like Ilhan Omar? This means that he has some special relationship with Ilhan. Now the Congress should clarify its stand on this.

He said, “One thing has become clear from Ilhan Omar’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi that she is also involved in anti-national activities. India follows a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism. One thing has become clear from this that Rahul Gandhi is doing anti-national work. By going to the global platform, he is trying to create political instability, which cannot be accepted at any cost.”

Apart from this, he also targeted Rahul Gandhi’s statement in America regarding democracy. He said, “Democracy is not in danger now. Democracy was in danger during the reign of Congress. It is clear how many places were imposed as President’s rule during the reign of Congress. You can check the old history yourself. Tell me even one such incident during the reign of Narendra Modi. Not a single such incident was seen during the reign of BJP. There is an atmosphere of peace and stability in the country, but we all know what the atmosphere has been like since the beginning during the reign of Congress.”

He said, “We all know that when the Congress government was in power, it toppled the BJP government in many states. Somewhere it is wrong to say that democracy is in danger right now. The BJP government has been in power in the country for the last ten years. When the BJP is in power, we can see very well what kind of situation prevails in the country. Today there is an atmosphere of stability in the country.”

He further said, “It will not be acceptable to deny the fact that the BJP government has been in power for the last 10 years. In such a situation, we are all seeing the kind of changes that are being seen in the present times. Article 370 has been repealed from Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, there is a wave of development in all directions in the valley. There is an atmosphere of happiness among the people due to this step of the Center, but some people are constantly questioning its relevance only for their political benefit, which cannot be accepted at any cost.”
