Udupi, 3 March (IANS). Senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily while addressing a program at Karkal in Udupi district said that I am the person who gave DK Shivkumar the first MLA ticket. Today he has become a successful leader in Karnataka. We all want him to become the Chief Minister soon.
He said, “I would like to tell DK Shivkumar that he has given strong leadership and has given priority to strengthen the party. There may be rhetoric here and there, but no one can stop him from becoming the Chief Minister. Some people can criticize him for personal reasons, but it will not change anything.”
The Congress leader said that the post of Chief Minister is not something that should be given to Shivkumar, this is something that he has earned. I am saying this on this holy earth of Karkal, this is 100 percent true, you should not give any statement on it. This is certain. It has been decided, it has also been decided in the hearts of people. The direction of history has already been written, it can be today or tomorrow, it is just a matter of time. That is all.
He said that even his supporters should not claim that they have made them. No matter how many crores, no one can try to spend, but no one can change luck.
Veerappa Moily said that DK Shivkumar brought the party to a new height in the state. Important land in the party’s victory in both the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, the party high command should also keep their contribution in mind and give them the responsibility of the leadership of the government in the state.
