Donald Trump again reiterated, "India is a higher duty country, retaliation from April 2"

US President Donald Trump has said that India is a high fee charge country. Trump reiterated that retaliation on countries levying US goods would be implemented from April 2.

He said, “The biggest thing will be on April 2 when retaliation will apply, whether it is India or China or any country … India is a very high fee.”

Trump on Thursday signed some government orders in the ‘Oval Office’ (US President’s office), saying, “Let me tell you who is a high fee country.” He is Canada. Canada charges 250 percent of our milk products and other products and levies a lot of fees on wood and similar things. We do not need their wood. We have more wood than them. We do not need Canadian wood. ”

Trump also said that the fees are “temporary” and “less” but the counter charges will start from April 2 and they will “bring big changes” for our country.

He said, “Every country in the world has looted us. They charge 150-200 percent fee from us (and) we do not take anything from them. Therefore, whatever fee they charge from us, we will take the same fee from them and no one will escape from it. So we are waiting for April 2. I have been waiting for that date for a long time and this will be a big deal. ”

This is the second time Trump has commented on India’s fee.

Addressing the first joint session of the Congress (US Parliament) during his second term at the US President’s official residence and office ‘White House’, Trump criticized the high fees levied by India and other countries and termed them as “extremely inappropriate”.
