‘Operation Sindoor’ has once again come into the limelight after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement about the appreciation of ‘Made in India’ weapons and the strength of self -sufficient India. In this military campaign, the Indian Army destroyed the terrorist bases of Pakistan on the basis of completely indigenous weapons.
Major General (Retired) Dr. JK. Bansal said in a conversation with IANS that India has now become completely self -sufficient in the military sector. He said, “Our army not only secured the country by targeting terror bases in Pakistan, but also told the world that India is now not only an importer but also the creator of weapons.” Dr. Bansal said that through ‘Operation Sindoor’, the army first targeted and destroyed 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan, followed by surgical attacks on other strategic bases. In this entire action, the Indian Army used indigenous weapons like BrahMos missile, Akash Air Defense System and Barak-8 (MRSAM).
He said that it is a matter of pride for us that supersonic cruise missiles like BrahMos are built in India, brought this operation to the end. The missile demolished Pakistan’s terrorist camps one by one. Dr. Bansal further said, “Today many countries around the world are showing interest in weapons made in India. The strength we have gained under the self -sufficient Bharat Abhiyan will now strengthen our position in the global defense market.” He also said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was not just a counter attack, but it was a demonstration of strategic and technical superiority of India. India not only gave a befitting reply to terrorist attacks, but also made Pakistan aware of the truth of its defense technology.
Specialty of BrahMos:
This supersonic cruise missile can penetrate the target at a speed of 3,700 km/h.
Its range is up to 800 km.
It is capable of carrying 200 to 300 kg of warheads.
It can be launched from land, sea and air.
It can fly at a very low height to avoid the enemy radar.
India has proved through this campaign that now the country does not need to depend on foreign weapons for its safety. India’s indigenous military power is now fully ready to answer any enemy – that too with its weapons. ‘Operation Sindoor’ is not only a military victory, but it is also the victory of self -reliant India.
