The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided several places on Friday as part of the investigation of alleged illegal sand mining and forced recovery against former Jharkhand minister Yogendra Saw and his family members.
At least eight locations were raided in Hazaribagh and Ranchi since morning. Sources said that this action is being done under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Sources said that the raid is related to the ongoing investigation into the allegations that said that a huge amount of criminal income has been earned through activities like forcible recovery, illegal sand mining and land grab.
Saw is the Congress leader and former Agriculture Minister of the state. Last year, the ED raided his house and questioned him. The case was going on against his MLA daughter Amba Prasad.
