New Delhi, October 8 (IANS). Congress party has suffered a big setback in Haryana. After getting a lead in the initial trends, the Congress party has lagged behind, while the BJP is going to form the government for the third consecutive time. Meanwhile, the Congress Party has written a letter to the Election Commission raising questions regarding the counting of votes in the Haryana Assembly. The Election Commission has given its reply on this.
Now the Election Commission has written a letter and responded to the allegations of Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh. He said that around 25 rounds of counting in all the constituencies are being updated every five minutes, which shows the speed of the counting process. In such a situation, the Commission clearly rejects your allegations of irresponsible, baseless and thoughtless misrepresentation.
He said, “There is nothing on record to prove his baseless allegation of delay in updating Haryana election results. Your memorandum also does not contain any facts regarding delay in any constituency of Haryana or Jammu and Kashmir. Not there.”
The Commission said that the counting of votes is being done as per the rules at the designated counting centres. The entire counting process in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir is taking place as per the rules, in the presence of candidates, observers and micro-observers.
In fact, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh had written a letter to the Election Commission saying, “11 rounds of counting have been done on many seats, but only 5 or 6 rounds of counting data are being shown on the Election Commission’s website and all TV channels.” BJP is playing games, but there is no need for our workers to be disappointed.
BJP government is going to be formed in Haryana for the third consecutive time. According to Election Commission data, BJP is leading on 50 seats, while Congress is leading on 35 seats.
