Exit Poll Results: Along with assembly constituencies in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, election work has been completed on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Most of the exit polls released after the completion of voting on Wednesday have predicted the return of the ruling Mahayuti to power in Maharashtra. There is likely to be a tough contest between India and the NDA alliance in Jharkhand, while the BJP-led NDA seems to be in the lead in Uttar Pradesh. However, it is also true that these are the results of the exit poll and the real result will be known only on November 23.
During the assembly elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave the slogan of ‘If we divide, we will cut’, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the slogan of ‘If we are one, we will be safe’. An attempt was made by BJP to polarize through these slogans and from the results of the exit poll it seems that BJP has been successful in this campaign.
Mahayuti likely to gain lead in Maharashtra
Voting for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra Assembly was held in one phase on Wednesday. In Maharashtra, there is a tough contest between Mahayuti (BJP, Shinde faction of Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar faction of NCP) and Mahavikas Aghadi (Congress, Sharad Pawar faction of NCP and Uddhav faction of Shiv Sena).
This assembly election is also considered important because this time, along with BJP and Congress, both the factions of NCP and Shiv Sena are also going to face the litmus test. If we calculate the average of the predictions made about the election results of Maharashtra (Exit Poll), then Mahayuti seems to be getting the lead in the state.
What does the exit poll indicate?
To gain majority in the Maharashtra Assembly, any alliance must win 145 seats. Many exit polls in Maharashtra have predicted the ruling Mahayuti to get more than 145 seats. If we look at the average of these predictions, NDA may get 153 seats, Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) may get 126 seats and others may get 9 seats.
On the other hand, Jharkhand has 81 assembly seats. This time there has been a very tough contest between NDA and India alliance in Jharkhand. In some predictions, NDA is shown ahead while in some predictions, India alliance seems to be winning.
If we look at the average of surveys in Jharkhand, NDA is winning on 39 seats and Indian Alliance is winning on 38 seats. Four seats are going to others. In the assembly by-elections held on 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh, BJP led NDA may get six seats and Samajwadi Party may get three seats. However, in some predictions it has also been said that NDA will get seven seats.
Big impact of Yogi and Modi’s slogans
Now, if the predictions made in the exit polls turn into actual results, it would clearly mean that BJP has proved successful in its campaign of polarization during the elections. During this time’s assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s slogan ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ was much discussed. This slogan was heard a lot not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
However, in Maharashtra, senior leaders of Mahayuti like Ajit Pawar and Pankaja Munde were seen ignoring this statement of Yogi.
He said that this statement can work in Uttar Pradesh but this slogan has no relevance in the context of Maharashtra. After this, senior BJP leader and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis explained the meaning of this slogan and said that it is useful for Maharashtra also.
Along with this slogan of Yogi Adityanath, the slogan given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘If we stay together, we will be safe’ was also much discussed. Political experts believe that these slogans given by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi have shown a lot of impact in this election and this will be confirmed during the counting of votes on November 23.
NDA will get more strength after Haryana’s victory
If we look at the past, the results of exit polls have proved wrong many times, but if this time the predictions made in most of the exit polls prove to be correct, then after the victory of Haryana, NDA will once again get huge strength. On the other hand, India alliance will have to rethink its strategy. After the assembly elections of Jharkhand and Maharashtra and by-elections held in various states, now assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi soon.
There will be a big impact on Delhi elections also
There seems to be no possibility of an alliance between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections. Even in the Haryana assembly elections, an alliance could not be formed between the two parties. Even before the elections, indications of this have started emerging from the stance of the leaders of both the parties. On the other hand, BJP is looking very excited after winning all the seats in Delhi Lok Sabha elections.
If the results of assembly elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and by-elections held in various states are favorable for NDA, then the possibility of its impact in Delhi assembly elections also cannot be ruled out.
