Maharashtra Politics: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has told the truth about the victory of Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra Assembly elections. He also told how he was elected Chief Minister? While talking to a news channel, Fadnavis said that our Prime Minister’s slogan ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ was very effective in the victory. Due to this the Mahayuti alliance benefited in the elections. He said that the effect of this was that people completely rejected the politics of division that was going on in Maharashtra. This gave people confidence. He said, there was a pang in the minds of the people here, but the slogan ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ gave people hope. In this way, the slogan ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ did wonders and people voted believing that ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’. He said that we also benefited from schemes like Ladki Bahin, free electricity and education in the elections and this was the reason why BJP got 132 seats in the elections and emerged as the largest party.
Only after BJP got 132 seats, the party decided that the Chief Minister will be from BJP only. On the question of CM Yogi shifting from Batenge to Katenge to Ek hain to safe hain slogan, Fadnavis said that you have to see that the glass is half full and half empty as well.
Shinde was ready to become Deputy CM in the first meeting
Fadnavis said that Shinde was ready to become Deputy CM in the first meeting itself. There were two opinions prevailing in Shinde’s party. There was general opinion that Shinde should join the government. But some people were also of the opinion that Shinde should not join the government but should become the chairman of the coordination committee. But in our first meeting itself it was decided that the Chief Minister should be from BJP. Shinde had agreed that the CM should be from BJP and was ready to become the Deputy CM. But there are also such leaders or workers in the party, who want that the Chief Minister should become from their party. Party workers think that our leader should have respect. But there was no doubt in our mind. I myself have personal relations with Shinde.
Fadnavis said that but my party said that I should accept the post, so I accepted. It is also a fact that if a strong person of the party is not in the government then the party does not function.
Cabinet expansion will happen before December 16
When the question was asked about the ministry, has Eknath Shinde asked for any ministry? On this Fadnavis said that he has not asked for any ministry yet. Will discuss it when asked. Fadnavis said that the cabinet expansion will take place before December 16. We have reached agreement on almost all departments. The Home Department has always been with us.
