Gujarat ATS and Faridabad Special Task Force (STF) arrested a person suspected of having a terrorist relationship with Faridabad in a joint operation. Two grenades were also recovered from him, which were immediately deactivated by security agencies. According to sources, he was plotting to attack the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The suspect has been identified as Abdul Rahman (19). He is a resident of Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. Haryana Police and Central Agencies are harassing Abdul Rahman for additional information. Rahman’s mobile and other recovered materials are also being investigated.
According to sources, Abdul Rahman had been living with fake identity card in Pali village of Faridabad for several days. When the officer approached him, he tried to escape, but he was caught.
Gujarat ATS led the operation with the help of Faridabad STF. Investigation agencies are now busy finding Abdul Rahman’s contacts and finding his intentions. After hours of questioning, the accused was taken into custody for further questioning.
According to sources in security agencies, Abdul Rahman is associated with ISI’s ISKP (Islamic State Khorasan Province) module. It is believed that apart from Abdul Rahman, other people can also join this module, who are being searched.
Significantly, after a long legal battle, Ram temple was built on Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Pran Pratishtha ceremony was held on 22 January 2024. Since then, a huge crowd of Ram devotees has been thronging the temple.
According to sources in security agencies, Abdul Rahman was prepared by the ISI to attack the Ram temple in Ayodhya. It is connected to many communities. He runs a mutton shop in Faizabad and is also associated with auto profession. This terrorist plan was to attack a hand grenade in Ram temple and create heavy havoc.
He had done Ram temple many times. The terrorist also shared all the information with ISI.
He reached Faridabad by train from Faizabad. A handler gave him grenades, whom he was to take back to Ayodhya by train. It was first caught on the basis of information received from central agencies.
