New Delhi, December 22 (IANS). Norway’s former Climate and Environment Minister Erik Solheim has praised the clean energy policy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to a recent paper by NITI Aayog, about 25 crore Indians have moved out of “multidimensional poverty” in the last nine years, and poverty levels have declined from 29.17 per cent in 2013-14 to 11.28 per cent in 2022-23.
Solheim told IANS that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is now working on mainstreaming renewable energy, which will create many economic opportunities in the coming years.
The veteran diplomat said, “I become very optimistic when governments and industries talk about the green economy.
