Hyderabad, Telangana – A revolutionary step has been taken in India’s public health sector. Hyderabad-based Nilofar Hospital has launched the country’s first AI (artificial intelligence)-based non-invasive blood test, which can provide the necessary health information within just 60 seconds without any needle, blood or lab test. This technology is not only considered a major achievement of science, but it can also completely change the access to health services in rural and backward areas of the country.
‘Amrit Healthy India’ developed by Quick Vitals
This innovative technique has been developed by Healthytech Startup Quick Vitals and its name is “Amrit Swasth Bharat”. This is a mobile app that gives the results of blood test in 20 to 60 seconds through facial scanning – that too without a drop of blood. The technique of face scanning is called photoplethysmography (PPG), which can identify many health signs by recording the change of light absorption in the skin of the body.
What can this system measure?
The following health indicators can be measured through the ‘Amrit Swasth Bharat’ app:
Blood pressure
Oxygen Seturation (SPO2)
Heart Rate
Respiration Rate
Cardioed variability (HRV)
Hemoglobin a1c
Stress levels
Pulse Respiratory Co. (prQ)
Activeness of the sympathy
This test is “Selfie as easy”
According to Harish Bisam, the founder of Quick Vitals, “This technique is so easy that anyone can use it as a selfie with his mobile camera.” They believe that this technique will especially weakened and improve the access to health facilities in rural communities, where there are often lab and testing facilities.
Launch in Neelofar Hospital: Blessing for children and women
The first official launch of this technique was made at the Red Hills Campus of Neelofar Hospital in Laldikapul, Hyderabad. Superintendent of Neelofar Hospital, Dr. Ravi Kumar said, “This technique will prove to be extremely useful for maternal and child health. It is fast, safe and convenient – especially for children and pregnant women.” Dr. Santosh Crolat, member of the National Medical Commission, said that through this technique, it will now be possible to diagnose early diagnosis of ‘silent’ diseases like anemia, which is usually ignored in women and children. According to him, “This will ensure that no person is deprived of our health campaigns”.
AI Healthcare Future: Continuous monitoring from weeked equipment
This app not only scanning from mobile or tablet, but can also continuously monitor patients through contact-based weelable PPG sensors. This means that now the health status of the patients can be constantly monitored, that too can get the test done again and again.
Priority given to data security and privacy
Quick Vitals claim that this app has been fully prepared in accordance with the Indian Medical Data Protection Rules.
The data of every patient will be shared only with authorized healthcare providers.
Many users can be registered on the same device.
The data is completely encrypted, ensuring privacy and security.
Next expansion will be held in Maharashtra
During the launch at Neelofar Hospital, Harish Bisam, the founder of Quick Vitals, announced that the technology will now be launched soon in the state of Maharashtra. Its aim is to expand the AI based diagnostic system across India, so that health evaluation of more people can be possible in a short time.
Why is this revolution -like discovery in the health sector?
In a country like India, where long queues, lab deficiency, and inequality of health facilities are common in government hospitals, this technique has emerged as a major relief.
In villages and towns, where there is no access to the lab, this app can evaluate like a blood test through just one mobile phone.
Time and resources are saved – neither needle is to be installed, nor bottle is to be filled, nor it takes days to get reports.
The need to extract blood in women and children repeatedly ends.
Preparation to join government schemes
Several officials of the Ministry of Health are talking about connecting it with government campaigns such as National Health Mission, Poshan Abhiyan, and School Health Programs. If this happens, this app will go to every school, panchayat building or Anganwadi center and facilitate cheap, safe and fast investigation.
Future healthcare
‘Amrit Healthy India’ is not only a major success from technical terms, but it is a concrete step towards making India’s health system more inclusive, effective and faster. Now with a simple smartphone, expensive and time -taking blood tests will not be required. The country’s weakest and far-flung population will get the biggest benefit. In the coming years, when this technology spreads across the country, then India’s healthcare system will not only be fast and efficient, but will also be accessible to the people.
