Chhota Udaipur, Sep 21 (IANS) Kuldeep Bhai Rathwa, nephew of former MP Ramsingh Rathwa, died in a firing incident in Pipaldi village of Kavat taluka in Chhota Udaipur district of Gujarat on Friday night. Police have arrested the main accused in the murder, Shankar Bhai Rathwa, while another accused, Amala Bhai Rathwa, is being searched for.
According to the news, the rivalry between the two happened during the recent Panchayat elections while trying to get their respective allies elected. Kuldeep Bhai Rathwa’s candidate won in these elections. Due to this, there was verbal abuse with the other party many times. At present, security arrangements have been tightened in the village. Along with this, people have been assured that the accused will be caught and sent to jail as soon as possible.
On this entire matter, the district SP Gaurav Agarwal said, “An FIR was lodged at the Kawat police station of the district at 1 am on September 21. It is stated in that FIR that a few hours earlier on the same day at around 10 o’clock, in a firing in Pipaldi village of Quant taluka, ex-serviceman Shankar Bhai Rathwa shot and killed a person named Kuldeep Bhai Rathwa. After this incident, Shankar Bhai Rathwa fled on a bike with co-accused Amala Bhai Rathwa.
He said, “The factions of Shankar Bhai Rathwa and Kuldeep Bhai Rathwa were contesting the Panchayat elections. Kuldeep Bhai Rathwa’s faction won the election. Due to this, a feud started between them. There was abuse between them many times in between. Due to this feud, this incident happened last night. The police have arrested the main accused Shankar Bhai Rathwa and the search for the second accused Amala Bhai Rathwa is on.”
