Maharashtra: A new government of Mahayuti alliance has been formed in Maharashtra. Along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, two Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar have also taken oath. Now it is the turn of cabinet expansion. If sources are to be believed, the cabinet expansion of Maharashtra government is likely to take place between December 11 and 12. A consensus has also been reached among the coalition parties regarding cabinet expansion. The formula for which ministry will be given has also been prepared. It is believed that the maximum number of ministers will be from BJP. It is considered certain that BJP will get many important departments including Home, Energy, Law and Justice, Irrigation. BJP is likely to get a total of 21 ministerial posts. At the same time, 12 ministers can be made from Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena and 10 from Ajit Pawar’s NCP. Meanwhile, a senior BJP leader said that the number and names of ministers taking oath will be decided in a day or two.
It is believed that the Fadnavis cabinet is going to be expanded soon in which about 30 to 32 MLAs can take oath as ministers. In this, 15 MLAs of BJP, 8 from Shiv Sena faction and 7 to 9 MLAs from NCP Ajit Pawar faction can become ministers.
BJP can get these departments
This time, BJP is likely to get major departments like Home Department, Home Minister Construction, Raj Etiquette, Energy, Law and Justice, Rural Development, Irrigation, Revenue, Tourism, Skill Development, Tribal and General Administration.
Shiv Sena and NCP can get this ministry
While Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena may get departments like Excise, Environment, Social Justice, Urban Development, Mining, Health, Water Supply, Industry, Education and PWD, Ajit Pawar’s NCP may get departments like Food and Supplies, FDA, Finance and Planning, Women. And there is a possibility of getting Department of Child Development, Sports and Youth Welfare, Agriculture and Rehabilitation.
Know how many ministers will take oath
It is believed that 20 ministers from BJP are likely to take oath. Apart from this, 11 to 12 ministers in Shiv Sena and 9 to 10 ministers in NCP are expected to take oath.
