Jammu News Desk!!! Political parties have intensified their preparations for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The names of the candidates are being announced by the parties. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the Jammu and Kashmir elections. 25 promises have been made to the public in this manifesto.
What promises did BJP make to the public?
1. We will completely eliminate terrorism and separatism and make Jammu and Kashmir a leader in the country in development and progress.
2. Under Maa Samman Yojana, the senior-most woman in every household of Jammu and Kashmir will be given Rs 18,000 per year. Ujjwala will provide 2 free MPG cylinders every year to the beneficiaries.
3. Pandit Prem Nath Dogra will create 5 lakh employment opportunities under employment scheme.
4. Under Pragati Shiksha Yojana, Rs 3,000 will be given every year to college students as transport allowance through DBT.
5. We will provide coaching fees of up to Rs 10,000 for two years to the youth to prepare for competitive examinations like JKPSC and UPSC.
6. Tablets and laptops will be provided to students studying in higher secondary classes in remote areas.
7. Will promote and develop the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. Establishment of three regional development boards, promotion of tourism industry, establishment of amusement park, IT hub and Ayush herbal park.
8. A new policy will be formulated to address the existing problems of the 7,000 MSMI units in Jammu and Kashmir.
9. We will ensure free allotment of 5 marla land to landless beneficiaries through Atal Housing Scheme.
10. We will bring a solution plan for the outstanding bills of electricity and water. Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar will provide free electricity to the families under the free electricity scheme, in which a subsidy of Rs 10,000 will also be given for installing solar equipment.
11. Old age, widow and disability pension will be increased three times from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000.
12. Under Ayushman Bharat Sehat Yojana, Rs 2 lakh will be provided in addition to the Rs 5 lakh cover.
13. 1,000 new seats will be added through existing and upcoming government medical colleges.
14. Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs 10,000 will be given instead of Rs 6,000.
15. Electricity rates for agricultural activities will be reduced by 50 percent.
16. Reservation in promotions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be ensured in government services.
17. Firefighters in Jammu and Kashmir will be given 20 percent quota in government jobs and police recruitment. The reservation policy of Jammu and Kashmir will be followed without any impact on the General Court.
18. Will solve the problems of ad hoc, contract and daily wage employees.
19. Construction of 10,000 km of new rural roads will ensure that no village is left behind.
20. Metro services will start soon in Jammu and Srinagar.
21. Rishi Kashyap will rebuild Hindu temples and religious places under the Tirtha Punaruddhar Abhiyan. Will renovate 100 destroyed temples and further develop existing temples.
22. We will launch a strict campaign to deal with illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi settlements in Jammu and Kashmir.
23. To expedite and ensure the safe return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit community, we will launch the Teeka Lal Taploo Visthaapte Samaj Punavis Yojana (TLTVSPY).
24. We will publish a white paper and ensure accountability for all victims of terrorism. Court cases will be fast-tracked. Victims will be given justice. We will ensure the rule of law in the state.
25. We will conduct a free and fair census unlike previous years.
