Ganesh Singh was born on 2 July 1962 in Khamharia, Gram Panchayat in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. His father’s name is Kamal Bhan Singh and mother’s name is Phoolmati Singh. They are in second order among seven children of their parents. Ganesh Singh, born in an ordinary farming family, made hard work and discipline the basic mantra of life since childhood.

He received all these degrees from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University in Rewa district. Ganesh Singh entered active politics in 1989 as the president of the socialist youth unit of Madhya Pradesh state. After this, in 1995, he was elected a member of the Satna Zilla Parishad.
