GB syndrome not new virus, due to increase in patients in Pune, Maharashtra Health Minister

Mumbai, 28 January (IANS). The cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday in Maharashtra. GB syndrome has been discussed very seriously in this meeting. After this, Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Samitkar spoke to IANS and told about the status of GB syndrome in the state.

The state health minister said that there is a discussion about the GB syndrome in the people’s mind, there has been a discussion about it in the cabinet. Our Health Secretary has informed the cabinet about this.

The Health Minister said that GB syndrome is not a new virus. GB syndrome patients have already met in Maharashtra and the country. The number of patients with GB syndrome increases due to low immunity. Its patients were found in many areas of Maharashtra. The government was given financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh in 2020 by the government. Those people were completely cured.

He said that anyone whose immunity is weak is at risk of having GB syndrome. Those whose immunity is weak should take precaution. Children and elderly up to 15 years of age should also be cautious.

What is the way of rescue? How is the state government appealing to the people how to keep itself safe. On this, he said that the reason for the patients in Pune is different. Out of 110 patients found, 80 patients who have drank water from the same well in the same area. We have talked to Pune Municipal Corporation. Improvement will be done through the municipal corporation and patients will be reduced.

Many patients are on ventilator. How many people have died. In response to this question, the Health Minister said that a patient has died. This patient was in the same area where there are 80 patients. The deceased had a history of visit. He has appealed to the people not to be afraid. He says that many patients have gone well with this disease. It is cured.
