Ghaziabad, October 13 (IANS). Mahapanchayat has been announced on Sunday amid tension following the controversial statement given by Mahant Yati Narasimhanand of Ghaziabad’s Dasna Devi temple. Temple committee and local MLA Nandkishore Gurjar have appealed to all Hindu organizations to participate in the mahapanchayat.
No permission has been given by the police for organizing this Mahapanchayat. According to the police, keeping the security in mind no one will be allowed to enter the temple premises. Extensive security arrangements have been made so that any untoward incident can be dealt with.
There is a possibility of conflict between the police and Hindu organizations regarding this Mahapanchayat. The police administration has deployed additional forces to control the situation and blockade has been imposed at various places.
On Saturday, BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar had reached Dasna Devi temple. After darshan and worship, he said that this is a very ancient temple. Here all wishes are fulfilled. The temple committee has called a mahapanchayat. That’s why there will be a Panchayat here. If the administration has imposed a ban, that administration should know, but it will be the Panchayat. We have been called. We will also come to the Panchayat. The decisions to be taken here will be taken in the interest of the nation. There will be a peaceful Panchayat. We are taking responsibility for this. A responsible man should stay, so I will be here tomorrow.
He had further said that there is a lot of anger and anger among the people who believe in Sanatan Dharma across the country. If Maharaj ji has said anything about the attack on the temple by Jihadis, then the work will be done as per the law. Sanatan Dharma is angry that is why Panchayat is being held. The decision taken by the temple committee will strengthen the nation. National Security Act should be imposed against the people who attacked here. We demand the arrest of those who are absconding as soon as possible. A big official wants to burn the district. We request CM Yogi to crack down on anarchist elements. The society has now stood in respect for Sanatan.”
Let us tell you that a panchayat of 36 communities has been called in Dasna temple on Sunday. Permission for this was sought from the police on behalf of the temple administration, but the police refused to give permission and imposed Section 163. This panchayat has been called in connection with the alleged attack on the temple on the night of October 4 and the alleged ‘missing’ of Mahamandaleshwar Yati Narasimhanand Giri.
It is noteworthy that after the statement given by the Mahant of Dasna Temple on October 4, some people had marched towards the temple and were stopped by the police. During this time, it was alleged that the miscreants pelted stones after reaching outside the temple and tried to spoil the atmosphere. After this, politics heated up and Loni MLA Nandkishore Gurjar also got involved in this matter. He had written a letter to the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that the people who attacked the temple should be identified and NSA should be imposed on them and their property should also be confiscated.
