The central team led by Union Minister Prahlad Joshi will hold a meeting with the farmer representatives on Friday who are demanding other demands for the minimum support price (MSP) of the crop. In this meeting, their demands will be discussed. Sources gave this information.
The 28 -member delegation of farmers will participate in this meeting. Sources said that Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Joshi will lead the Central Team.
According to sources, Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudia will also be present. This meeting will be held at Mahatma Gandhi State Public Administration Institute, Punjab in Chandigarh.
The step has been taken after the protests being carried out by the farmers for a year over the legal guarantee of the MSP, among other demands. According to the farmers, the 28-member delegation of the United Kisan Morcha (non-political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha will participate in the meeting.
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallawal, who is on an indefinite fast, said that he too will attend the meeting.
