Government shows moral courage in Israel-Iran case: Congress

The Congress said on Monday that the Narendra Modi government at the Center has not yet condemned the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear bases and “Israeli aggression” and is silent on “massacre” in Gaza.

The main opposition party Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that now the government should show more moral courage than before.

He also said that there should be diplomatic dialogue with Iran. The US attacked three uranium enrichment centers Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan in Iran in the early hours of Sunday. The military conflict between Iran and Israel continues for the last 10 days.

Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “President Donald Trump’s decision to use the US Air Force on Iran is a mockery of his own call to continue negotiations with Iran.” He said that the Congress repeats the imperative of diplomacy and interaction with Iran.

The Congress leader said, ‘The Government of India should demonstrate more moral courage than so far. He claimed, ‘The Modi government has clearly criticized nor condemned American bombing and Israel’s aggression, bombing and targeted murders. It has also kept silence on the massacre being done on the Palestinians in Gaza.
