Bhopal, December 12 (IANS). Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav enumerated the achievements of his government during its one year tenure and said that his government has taken care of the development and welfare of every section. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav told reporters about the achievements of one year at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center in the capital Bhopal on Thursday.
He said that the state government is working rapidly on ‘River Linking Scheme’ to provide water to every area. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to perform the Bhoomi Pujan of Ken-Betwa Link Project on 25th December, on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This program will be held in Chhatarpur. This project will change the face of Bundelkhand. This project will irrigate 10 lakh hectare area in the state and water will also be available. Similarly, work is also being done on Kali Sindh Chambal Project.
The Chief Minister further said that the government’s efforts are continuing for the welfare of farmers. On one hand, they are being provided water and on the other hand, they are being provided with the facility of solar pump. The plan to interlink small rivers will also be implemented in the state. Apart from this, efforts are also being made to resolve the problems of the workers, the cases of industrial units which have been closed and the amount due to the workers are pending, are also being settled. The case of workers of Hukumchand Mill of Indore has been settled and Rs 224 crore has been paid there. Similarly, the case of JC Mill of Gwalior and Sajjan Mill of Ratlam will also be resolved.
Referring to the ongoing efforts for empowerment of women in the state, the Chief Minister said that ‘Ladli Laxmi’ and ‘Ladli Brahmin Yojana’ are being run. Many things were coming to light regarding ‘Ladli Brahmin Yojana’. But, this plan is continuing. This is possible because the income of the state government is also increasing. At the same time, 35 percent reservation has been given to women in the state.
Discussing the changes in the field of education in the state, he said that excellence colleges have been started. At the same time, the number of medical colleges in the state is also increasing rapidly.
Discussing the ongoing efforts for industrial development in the state, the Chief Minister said that ‘regional industry conclave’ is being organised. The year 2025 is going to be celebrated as ‘Year of Industry’. ‘Global Investor Summit’ will be held in Bhopal. So far investment proposals worth Rs 4 lakh crore have come in the state. This will also increase employment opportunities.
He narrated an interesting incident when the head of the university was made ‘Vice Chancellor’ instead of Vice Chancellor. She told that there was a female vice-chancellor of a university and the way her husband introduced herself gave her the idea of changing the name. He said that when I became the Chief Minister of the state, I decided to give the name ‘Kulguru’ in place of Vice Chancellor, this happens in Maharashtra.
