Patna, 4 May (IANS). A spectacular opening ceremony of Khelo India Youth Games 2025 was held on Sunday at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna, the capital of Bihar. This national game Mahakumbh was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtual.
At the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia lit the torch and started the event. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Sports Minister Surendra Mehta, Cabinet Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Sanjay Saraogi, Union Minister of State Ram Nath Thakur and many prominent leaders were present at the function.
Vijay Kumar Sinha said on the occasion, “A historic moment has been created on the historic land of Bihar today. The inauguration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a strong foundation for the event under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been laid. It will recognize the talent of Bihar on the national stage.”
Describing it as an extraordinary event, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “The event of Khelo India in Patna is a symbol of Bihar’s progress. PM Modi’s address was inspiring, which enthusiastically enthusiastically. I greet the Central and Bihar Government.”
Sports Minister of Bihar Government Surendra Mehta said, “This game organized for the first time in Bihar is a moment of pride for the Mahakumbh players and sports community. The event will give Bihar a new identity in the field of sports.”
