Greater Noida, January 9 (IANS). There was an encounter between Bisrakh police station in Greater Noida West and three vicious robbers during checking last night. In which two miscreants were arrested after being shot and one miscreant was arrested during combing. These three criminals are residents of West Bengal and have already gone to jail in robbery and theft cases. 9 looted mobile phones, illegal weapons and stolen bike have been recovered from them.
According to the information received from the police, late on the night of January 8, Bisarkh police station was checking by placing a barrier near the four statues in front of Gaur City-1 police post. Meanwhile, a motorcycle carrying three persons was seen coming from the front. The police team signaled them to stop. But he did not stop and started running the motorcycle at high speed on the service road leading to Capsule Roundabout.
The police team started chasing them and informed the police personnel deployed at other posts. After this, seeing the police team coming from the front, the motorcycle of the motorcycle riders lost control, slipped and fell near the under-construction building and they opened fire on the police team with illegal weapons. In the retaliatory action taken by the police team, two miscreants got injured by bullet, identified as Mehmidul Haq (28), resident of District Cooch Behar West Bengal and Moxedul Hussain (22), resident of District Cooch Behar West Bengal.
The third criminal, Ajidul alias Guddu (19), resident of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, was arrested during combing. 9 stolen mobile phones, one stolen motorcycle (stolen from Delhi), 2 illegal pistols, 2 live and 2 spent cartridges and 1 cutter (wire/mesh cutter) have been recovered from the possession of the miscreants. The injured miscreants have been sent to the hospital for treatment. Police have said that among these, Mehmidul Haq has previously gone to jail in the case of mobile theft from Bisarkh police station.
