Lucknow, October 15 (IANS). Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati targeted the government over the Bahraich incident. He said that if responsibility had been taken, the Bahraich incident would never have happened.
BSP chief Mayawati wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that it is worrying that the law and order situation in Bahraich district of UP has deteriorated out of control. In such a situation, the intention and policy of the government and administration should not be biased but should be completely legalistic so that the matter concerned does not become serious and the situation of peace and order is maintained here.
He further wrote that no matter what the festival or religion, peace and order is the first responsibility of the government. Special arrangements are necessary on such occasions. If such responsibility had been fulfilled, the Bahraich incident would never have happened. The government should ensure peace and security of people’s life, property and religion under all circumstances.
