Our family has served the people of Rewari for the last three generations and I want to continue that tradition. interesting competition

This time 12 candidates are in the fray in Rewari assembly constituency. At present, this seat is with Congress, to win which BJP is giving full competition. But after rebelling from BJP, Satish Yadav, who returned with ticket from Aam Aadmi Party, has made the contest triangular.

Rewari seat has been the stronghold of Congress and Captain House. 3 generations of Captain House have been MLAs here. Firstly, Captain Ajay Singh Yadav’s father Rao Abhay Singh became the first MLA of Rewari in 1952. After this, after the formation of Jatusana and Haryana in 1957, he represented the region for the first time by becoming MLA from Rewari assembly seat in 1972. Captain Ajay Yadav, who left the army service after the resignation of Raghu Yadav in 1989, won the by-election.

After this, he made a record of winning 6 consecutive assembly elections. This seat came to BJP only in the Modi wave of 2014. But again in 2019, Captain’s son Chiranjeev Rao registered victory and put this seat in the hands of Congress. This time, Chiranjeev Rao is contesting from Rewari for the second time and Laxman Singh Yadav, the current MLA from Kosli, is contesting from Rewari on BJP ticket. Other candidates including independent Prashant Sunny and BSP’s Vijay Somani are also in the fray.
