Haryana Election Result: New Delhi: BJP has achieved a historic victory for the third consecutive time in the Haryana Assembly elections. By winning 48 assembly seats in the state, the party is going to form the government again after 2014 and 2019. After using all its strength, Congress could get only 37 seats. Indian National Lok Dal has won two seats while independent candidates have won three seats.
Now the three independent MLAs Savitri Jindal, Devendra Kadian and Rajesh June have also announced their support to the BJP government. In this way, BJP’s strength in the state assembly has increased to 51 MLAs. Independent MLA Rajesh June has joined BJP. After the decision of these three MLAs, BJP has now become politically stronger in Haryana.
Support to BJP for development of Ganaur
Devendra Kadian had contested the elections from Ganaur assembly seat in Sonipat district as a rebel candidate of BJP. He won by defeating Kuldeep Sharma of Congress by 35,209 votes. BJP candidate Devendra Kaushik stood third. After not getting the ticket from BJP, Devendra Kadian had decided to contest the elections as an independent candidate and he has shown his strength. After winning, Kadian said that I have decided to support BJP for the development of Ganaur.
He said that 36 communities of Ganaur have voted for me and their expectations can be fulfilled only if I go with the BJP government. He said that I have been in BJP before also and this party is like my family.
Although he clarified that he was not joining BJP, but he definitely announced his support to the BJP government. Kadian said that he has taken this big decision to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Ganaur.
Independent MLA Rajesh June joins BJP
Rajesh June, who won from Bahadurgarh seat during the assembly elections, has joined the BJP. He joined the BJP at the house of Union Minister and Haryana in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan. During this, BJP state president Mohanlal Badoli was also present. Rajesh June has won by defeating BJP candidate Dinesh Kaushik by 41,999 votes. Rajesh June was a contender for ticket from Congress but after not getting the ticket from the party, he filed his nomination as an independent candidate.
Savitri Jindal also supports BJP
Apart from these two MLAs, Savitri Jindal, who won from Hisar assembly seat, has also decided to support the BJP government. The country’s richest woman, Savitri Jindal, had joined the BJP in March this year and was a contender for the party ticket from Hisar, but was not given the ticket by the BJP.
Savitri Jindal has won Hisar seat by contesting as an independent candidate. Savitri Jindal along with her son and Union Minister Naveen Jindal met BJP in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb. During this meeting he informed about his decision to support the BJP government.
BJP’s historic hat-trick
This time, three independent MLAs won the Haryana Assembly elections and all three MLAs have come to the side of BJP. In such a situation, the party has now become stronger politically. In the political history of Haryana, till now no party had been able to win elections three times in a row and in such a situation, BJP has succeeded in scoring a historic hat-trick. Political pundits were considering Congress stronger this time but BJP has surprised everyone and achieved a big victory. This victory of BJP has also destroyed all the predictions of exit polls.
