Sirsa (Haryana), August 4 (IANS). Some pictures of Gokul Setia, who contested the Sirsa assembly elections as an independent candidate in 2019, have gone viral on social media. The ruling BJP has overpowered the Congress over these. Actually, the assembly elections in the state are near and on Tuesday Gokul Setia joined the Congress.
After he joined Congress, some of his photos with gangster Goldie Barad went viral on social media. While BJP has cornered Congress over this photo, Gokul Setia revealed the truth behind the viral photo. He released a video and said that Sirsa MLA Gopal Kanda is making this photo viral.
Gokul Setia said, “10 years ago we used to study in a university. This photo was clicked during that time. After 10 years, many of my friends became engineers, doctors, IPS. Some even became gangsters. But, I am not in touch with anyone. The MLA of Sirsa is making my photo viral because he wants to get my ticket cancelled.”
He said that the Congress party is sure to form the government in the state, “so I also want that my area should develop. In the 2019 assembly elections, I got 44 thousand votes from Sirsa assembly”.
On Gokul Setia’s allegations, Gopal Kanda said, “I did not make the photo viral. But why is Gokul Setia still taking my name? I did not take the photo.”
BJP leader Govind Kanda reacting to the viral photo of Congress leader Gokul Setia with gangsters said, “The photo with gangsters has been widely circulated and shown on TV channels. When such persons join politics, it has a negative impact on society and the younger generation. They may be influenced to follow the wrong path.
