Haryana Politics : In Haryana, BJP may be projecting Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini as the face for the CM post once again, but the controversy over the CM post in Haryana BJP is increasing. Recently, senior Haryana BJP leader Anil Vij had presented his claim for the CM post and now Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh has also joined the race for the CM post. He has created new problems for the top leadership of BJP by declaring himself worthy of the CM post.
Anil Vij had declared himself as the CM face
Congress may not have declared its CM face in the Haryana assembly elections, but BJP has been calling Nayab Singh Saini its CM face. Despite this, senior state BJP leader Anil Vij recently declared himself as the CM candidate. He said that if BJP wins the Haryana assembly elections, he will definitely stake claim for the CM post.
Ability to change the face of Haryana
Claiming himself to be the most senior, he said that I have a long experience of work. He said that my supporters often ask me why you have not been made the Chief Minister yet despite being so senior. In view of the huge demand of supporters, this time I will put forth a demand in front of the party high command to make me the Chief Minister of the state.
He even claimed that if he becomes the Chief Minister, he has the ability to change the face of Haryana. This claim made by Anil Vij is being discussed a lot in the BJP. People are asking why and on what basis he has made this claim.
Now Rao Indrajit Singh has also staked his claim
Meanwhile, Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh has also jumped into the race for the post of Chief Minister. He said that till now I have never personally demanded the post of Chief Minister but I am fully capable and competent for this post. In an interview given to an English newspaper, Rao Indrajit Singh said that looking at my stature, achievements and political performance, I feel that I am the right candidate for the post of Chief Minister.
He said that I have never raised this demand myself, but my supporters have been wanting to see me as the Chief Minister for a long time. The Union Minister even said that even though I have not been made the Chief Minister yet, the truth is that I have been a contender for this post since 2014. He said that if the party offers me the post of Chief Minister, I will not reject it. I am fully prepared to handle this responsibility.
Troubles of BJP leadership increased
This situation is going to confuse the BJP leadership because Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has been projected as the face for the post of Chief Minister by the BJP. After Anil Vij staked his claim for the post of Chief Minister, senior BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan had clearly declared Saini as the CM face.
He had tried to clear the confusion of party workers and supporters in this regard but now Rao Indrajit Singh has also jumped into the race for the CM post. After two party leaders have staked their claim for the CM post, it is believed that the tussle in the party regarding this may increase further in the coming days.
