Uttar Pradesh News Desk !!! Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized a meeting of the legal cell on Sunday. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, 30 retired High Court and Supreme Court judges attended this meeting. Many issues including legal disputes over temples in Varanasi and Mathura, Waqf Amendment Bill and conversion were discussed in the meeting. After the meeting, VHP President Alok Kumar said that we had called retired judges of the Supreme Court and High Court. So that we can all discuss the Waqf Amendment Bill, handing back temples, handing over government-controlled temples to the society, conversion etc. Its purpose is to develop a free exchange of views and understanding between judges and VHP.
It was a platform for sharing ideas
Giving information, VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that this is a platform for sharing ideas. Hindutva and nationalism were discussed in the meeting. Apart from this, laws affecting Hindus, liberation of temples, conversion, cow slaughter and Waqf Board were also discussed. After the Supreme Court’s 2019 decision in the Ayodhya case, the Sangh believes that matters disrupting law and order should be run through grassroots movements. He could seek justice through the courts on controversial matters like Kashi and Mathura.
This kind of meeting took place for the first time
A senior VHP leader said that this is the first time such an event has been organised. Now we are planning to organise it regularly. Such events will help the legal fraternity understand our views. Let us tell you that some anti-conversion laws are pending in the courts even in BJP ruled states. Apart from this, the Waqf Bill was also sent to the JPC committee.
