Hemant Soren Son: The new government is going to be crowned in Jharkhand today i.e. on Thursday 28th November. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Hemant Soren will take charge of the state as Chief Minister for the fourth time. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar is going to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Hemant Soren at Morhabadi ground in Ranchi at 4 pm. Prominent leaders of INDIA block will also participate in this swearing-in ceremony.
The political journey of Hemant Soren, son of Shibu Soren, one of the big tribal leaders of the state and working president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, has been full of ups and downs. Earlier this year, on January 31, 2024, he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate following land scam allegations. But even before his arrest he had resigned from the post of Chief Minister. However, after his release from jail in June, on July 4, Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the third time.

In this difficult time for Soren, his wife stood as a shield. The name of his wife is Kalpana Murmu Soren, whom he married in the year 2006. Kalpana has joined politics this year. He is currently the MLA from Gandeya assembly seat. Both have two sons. Hemant had shared pictures with his sons after the election victory, in the caption of which he wrote – My Shakti. Talking about the education qualification of Hemant Soren, he has taken Intermediate degree in Science from Patna University, Bihar in 1994. After this he took admission in BIT Mesra, Ranchi to study Mechanical Engineering. But due to financial condition he had to leave his studies midway. That means Soren is only 12th pass. He is also counted in the list of least educated CM.
