US National Intelligence Director (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has said that welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to America is an honor and he is ready to work towards strengthening friendship between the two countries.
Modi arrived in the US for a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump and Gabbard met Modi a few hours later.
Gabbard wrote on ‘X’, “It is an honor to welcome Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to America. I look forward to strengthen America-India friendship. ”
After meeting Gabbard, Modi described him as “strong supporters” of Indo-US friendship.
Modi posted on ‘X’ on Wednesday, “met American National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard in Washington. He congratulated him on his appointment. Discussed various aspects of Indo-US friendship, which she has always been a strong supporter. ”
The discussion also focused on increasing intelligence cooperation to deal with terrorism, cyber security and emerging threats.
After confirming the appointment of Gabbard from the Senate, he was sworn in as National Intelligence Director at the Oval Office on Wednesday.
