Jammu News Desk !!! Terrorists have changed their strategy in Jammu and Kashmir. Now attacks have increased in Jammu division instead of the valley and martyrdom of soldiers has also increased. Undoubtedly, the army has shown bravery and killed the terrorists. But the increase in attacks in Jammu, which is generally considered safe, shows that the central government and security forces will have to make a strategy again. Between 13 and 14 September, a search operation was conducted in Kishtwar and Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir in search of terrorists. While two soldiers were martyred in this operation in Kishtwar, the army’s search operation is continuing in Baramulla.
If we look at the terrorist attacks in Jammu from June to 14 September 2024, there have been 12 attacks in 15 days. 14 soldiers have been martyred in these attacks, while 4 terrorists have been killed. Obviously this is a matter of concern for the security agencies. This is the first time since 2008 that there has been an increase in attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. According to defense experts, the time has come to take a decisive decision on the replacement strategy of terrorists. Every time the terrorists attack and disappear. People are troubled by the presence of terrorists in the forests.
More attacks in Jammu division
1. On September 13, two soldiers were martyred while two were injured in an encounter between the army and terrorists in Kishtwar.
2. On September 8, the army killed two terrorists in Lam and Nowshera. A large quantity of ammunition was recovered.
3. On August 29, an encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir.
4. On August 24, an encounter took place between army personnel and terrorists in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. The army killed one terrorist.
5. On August 13, a major encounter took place between the army and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation lasted for more than four days. Two army personnel and a civilian died in an encounter with terrorists in Kokernag of Anantnag district.
6. On 27 July, security forces killed a terrorist in an encounter in Machil area of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. However, a soldier was martyred in this encounter.
7. On July 22, terrorists attacked the house of a Shaurya Chakra awardee BDC member in Gunda Quas, Rajouri. An army jawan was injured in this attack.
8. On 16th July terrorists ambushed the army in the jungles of Doda. Four soldiers were martyred in this attack.
9. On July 8, 5 soldiers were martyred in the Kathua terrorist attack.
10. On July 7, a security post was attacked in Rajouri district. A soldier was injured in this attack.
11. On 11-12 June, temporary camps of police and army were attacked in Doda and Bhaderwah. Seven soldiers were injured in this.
12. On June 9, a bus was attacked in Shivkhodi, Reasi. 10 passengers died and 40 were injured.
