The Congress on Sunday called on the government to fix accountability, accusing the government of increasing the excise duty on petrol and diesel. The party demanded that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) should audit how private companies benefited from government policies.
The opposition party also demanded whether the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should also find out if it was deliberately negligent or connivance.
