The patriotism of Indian Army soldiers is not limited to the battlefield only, but is reflected in every decision. Manoj Patil, a resident of Pachora in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, has once again proved this. Two days after the wedding, when the groom is usually busy with religious rituals and guests at home, Manoj left for the border with henna and turmeric on the body.

Manoj Patil was married on May 5 with great pomp. Family, relatives and all the people of the village attended this happiness. But two days after the wedding, on 7 May, they got an order from the army to immediately return to duty on the border. On the morning of May 8, he wearing his uniform, applying henna in his hands and turmeric on his body and turned out to the border.

The wife also showed courage.

Under the ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the country, the government has canceled all the soldiers’ holidays. In such a situation, all the soldiers who went on leave have been asked to return to duty immediately. Manoj also left for the border on the morning of 8 May in this sequence. Yamini Patil fully supported her husband’s decision. He said, “To serve the country is the biggest responsibility. It is a matter of pride that my husband got this opportunity. I am completely with him.”

‘Nothing greater than the country’

Going towards the border, Manoj Patil said, “The country comes first. Marriage and family happiness comes later. When the country needs us, we can leave everything.” This story of Manoj gives a message not only to the youth of Jalgaon but also to the youth of the whole country that true bravery is not only in taking up arms, but in performing your duty, no matter how happy you are in your personal life.
